What an audit costs, and what it does not

Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit for a named piece of newsroom work. There is no monthly seat unless you ask for the retainer briefing after an audit.

News app measurement audit

Three weeks, one app. Two language editions or a visit outside Johor change the figure.

From RM 8,400

Paywall path review

Ten days. A handful of real stories, annotated, plus a two-page note.

From RM 4,600

Push alert measurement brief

Eight days on a fortnight of alerts. No copywriting, no sending software.

From RM 3,900

Newsroom numbers workshop

Half a day, up to twelve people, in your newsroom or ours. Travel beyond the quoted area at cost.

RM 2,800

Monthly editorial briefing

After an audit only. First three months as a block; then month to month.

From RM 3,200 / month

How a fee is set

The starting prices above assume a single-edition app, a usable event log, and work from the Johor Bahru desk. The fee moves when we must reconstruct two language editions, when the meter is undocumented, when the title cannot share exports and we must sit beside the numbers person for longer, or when a visit is needed outside Johor, Melaka, and the Klang Valley.

We send a one-page scope before any deposit. If the app has not shipped, or the event log is empty, we will not quote the flagship audit.

What is not on this card

We do not sell software seats, annual licences, or ‘credits’. Workshops are not cheaper if you squeeze in twenty people; the room simply stops being honest. Combined work — an audit followed by a workshop — is quoted as two lines, with a modest reduction when they share the same sample week.

Deposits and timing

A thirty percent deposit holds the start week. The balance is due when the written briefing is delivered, before the walkthrough if you want the walkthrough on the same invoice. Rush work (a start inside ten days) is not always possible; when it is, the fee is one and a quarter times the quoted figure because another title has to move.

For cancellation, rescheduling, and money returned, read the fees and refunds page. To ask for a scoped figure, write to the desk with the masthead and the briefing you have in mind.
